A native of Lorraine in France, I moved to Illinois in 2004 to pursue my graduate studies and have been living in Brooklyn since 2012. In addition to a MA and a PhD in French Studies with a graduate minor in Cinema Studies, I also hold the equivalent of a BA and a MA in English and American Studies from the Université de Nancy 2 in France.
After completing my PhD in 2011 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I held a position at Drew University in New Jersey for three years. In 2014, I joined the faculty of Fordham University in New York City in 2014, where I am currently Assistant Professor of French in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and an affiliated member of the Program in Comparative Literature.
I recently joined the editorial board of Modern and Contemporary France (https://modernandcontemporaryfrance.com).
